Three people were injured after an SUV collided with a cow on Martha Berry Highway at Berry College Sunday night.
According to a Rome Police Department report:
The driver of a Ford Explorer said he was unable to stop in time to avoid hitting the cow, which was standing in the middle of the road at around 8 p.m.
The driver complained of back and neck pain, while a front passenger was transported to Atrium Health Floyd with stomach pain, and a rear passenger sustained a burn from the seat belt and arm pain.
The cow was killed in the collision.
