Man charged with aggravated assault

A man initially arrested on Sunday on charges of interference with government property, criminal trespass, and battery is now facing an additional charge of aggravated assault.

According to the previous report:

28-year-old Quindarius Dresond Marques Tate broke a window belonging to the Northwest Georgia Housing Authority on Brookwood Court and then punched a woman in the face.

According to the latest arrest warrant, Tate also put his hands around the victim’s neck and strangled her.

Teen accused of violating sex offender registry law

A Rome teen has been arrested on a felony warrant charging him with violating Georgia’s Sex Offender Registry Law.

According to the warrant:

19-year-old Brian Jonathan Manuel failed to register with the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office within 72 hours of his birthday on November 14.

According to court records, Manual pleaded guilty in November of 2023 to charges of statutory rape, and simple battery.
