An East Rome man has been arrested on felony robbery and aggravated assault charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
36-year-old Roderick Desmond Ellis strangled a woman on Reservoir Street and then stole a Smith and Wesson pistol, valued at $450.
Ellis is also charged with simple battery in connection with an incident at his East 13th Street home on Friday.
According to the arrest warrant:
Ellis pushed the female victim’s head into a wall.
