Man arrested on aggravated assault charge

A 65-year-old Rome man is accused of pulling a gun on another person on Reservoir Street on Tuesday.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Gregory Deshields McLeod brandished the firearm during an altercation with a 58-year-old man.

McLeod is charged with aggravated assault.

Man accused of stealing a boom lift from Home Depot

A College Park man has been arrested on felony warrants charging him with theft by taking, theft by conversion, and theft by deception.

According to the warrants:

24-year-old Joshua Lanier Glenn rented a 35-foot boom lift from Home Depot on Hicks Drive in Rome and then sold or allowed it to be sold to a man in Florida.

The theft dates back to August 13.

The boom lift is valued at more than $26,000.

Woman charged with entering an auto, theft by taking

A 48-year-old Shannon woman is accused of stealing more than $1,000 in items from a vehicle on Kingston Highway on October 1.

According to the arrest warrants:

Christina June Danford entered a Chrysler Town and County and took various items, including a chainsaw, a flashlight, a Sawzall, and various hammers.

She is charged with entering an automobile, and theft by taking items from a motor vehicle.

Man accused of stealing county water meter

A Rome man is accused of taking a water meter from a residence on Lewis Boulevard and replacing it as his own.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

40-year old Charles Davon Goode used the meter to obtain 15,000 gallons of water illegally.

When confronted by police, Goode fled on foot.

He is charged with interference with government property, interference with a public utility, theft by taking, theft of services, and obstruction of officers.

Woman charged with felony shoplifting

A Rome woman has been arrested on a felony warrant charging her with theft by shoplifting.

According to the warrant:

25-year-old Lauren Taylor Bogardus took more than $837 in merchandise from the West Rome Walmart between August 12 and September 15.

Woman charged with meth possession

A homeless woman was arrested Tuesday on drug charges.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

37-year-old Mindy Louise Crocker was in possession of suspected methamphetamine at a location on Doncaster Drive.

She is charged with possession of meth.
