Report: Man bit police officer

A Cedar Bluff, Alabama man is accused of biting a Cave Spring Police Officer.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

39-year-old John Edwin Terry Jr. was pounding on the side of a parked camper trailer on Gadsden Road.

Terry got belligerent when the officer asked why he was pounding on the camper.

Terry was then told he was under arrest.

He started hitting the officer and bit him on the left forearm.

Other officers arrived on the scene and they were able to take Terry into custody.

He is charged with felony obstruction of law enforcement, aggravated battery, disorderly conduct, and possession of pills not in the original container.

Texas man charged with aggravated assault

A man from Eagle Pass, Texas is accused of assaulting a Rome woman at a location on Cunningham Road back on August 21.

According to an arrest warrant:

33-year-old James Christopher Moyeda bit the victim on the back and tried multiple times to remove her clothing with the intent to rape her.

He then stomped on her foot.

Moyeda is charged with aggravated assault.
