Monday afternoon Floyd 911 dispatch received a report that a person had been struck by a van on the pedestrian walkway in front of Publix on Turner McCall Blvd.
Rome Police and Fire Department responded to the area with Atrium Floyd EMS.
According to 911 dispatch, the victim sustained severe injuries and was immediately rushed to the hospital from the scene.
