A local man has been arrested on 19 counts of dogfighting.
According to Floyd County Jail records and an arrest warrant:
38-year-old, Michael Cortez Kent had multiple pit-type dogs on his E. 2nd Ave. property in Lindale, along with training equipment and medications associated with dogfighting.
There were dogs on the property that had previously fought and had scars and other wounds in different stages of healing.
