Woman arrested after dancing in the street

An East Rome woman was arrested Monday after she was seen dancing in the middle of the roadway on Walnut Avenue near East Ninth Street.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

60-year-old Debra Alice Dodd was under the influence of crack cocaine.

Cocaine and a glass smoking device were also found in her vehicle.

Dodd is charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug-related objects, and pedestrian under the influence.

Man accused of having fake IDs

A West Rome man is accused of providing law enforcement with two forged identification documents with different names back on June 16 at his Holland Drive residence.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

The forged government IDs were for Georgia and Tennessee.

73-year-old Eduardo Lora Garcia is charged with 2nd-degree forgery, giving a false name or date of birth to law enforcement, identity fraud, and manufacturing, selling, or distributing a false identification document.

Woman charged with simple assault, criminal damage to property

A 30-year-old Rome woman has been arrested in connection with an incident in West Rome back on August 10.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Christiana Latavia Wright threw a pitcher of tea on the victim.

According to an arrest warrant:

Wright also keyed the woman’s vehicle from the front driver-side fender to the rear driver-side fender, causing more than $500 in damage.

Wright is charged with simple assault and 2nd-degree criminal damage to property.

Man arrested following pursuit

A motorcyclist was arrested following a pursuit involving a Georgia State Trooper in West Rome on Monday.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

33-year-old Mark Allen Salmon Jr. of Rome fled on Alabama Highway and it was later discovered that he was wanted for an arrest warrant in Etowah County, Alabama.

Salmon is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude, fugitive from justice, no tag, no headlight, defective equipment, suspended license, and no proof of insurance.

Warrant: Man took package from porch

A Garden Lakes man is accused of stealing a package from a front porch on Booze Mountain Road in Lindale.

According to an arrest warrant:

45-year-old Jeremy Lee Terry was captured on video walking up to the porch.

He was then seen grabbing the package and taking it to his vehicle before driving off.

Terry is charged with theft by taking.
