Man charged with 34 counts of identity fraud

-Floyd County Jail records-

A Coosa man has been jailed on multiple counts of identity theft and financial transaction card fraud.

According to an arrest warrant and Floyd County Jail records:

52-year-old Darrell Edward Collier used a card belonging to the victim to make 34 different transactions.

He also took a Dewalt planer and pawned it.

Collier is also accused of locking himself in a bathroom on Dean Avenue, refusing to come out.

Once at the jail, Collier was found with cocaine.

He is additionally charged with theft by taking, theft by deception, possession of cocaine, possession of drugs past the guard line at the jail, and criminal trespass.
