Woman arrested on felony theft warrant

A Rome woman has been arrested on a felony warrant charging her with theft by taking.

According to the warrant:

The girlfriend of 40-year-old Annemarie Cintron sent the victim a voice message on Facebook admitting that Cintron had taken several items belonging to the victim and the victim’s children.

The value of the stolen items was listed at more than $1,500.

Warrant: Man violated TPO following hearing

It didn’t take long for a Rome man to violate a temporary protective order

According to an arrest warrant for 21-year-old Walter Bradley Kellogg:

A judge issued the TPO on June 20 ordering Kellogg to have no contact with the victim.

After the hearing was over, the victim, her sister, and two children were outside the courthouse waiting for a ride.

Kellogg is seen turning his head toward them and talking.

Kellogg is charged with aggravated stalking and 3rd-degree cruelty to children.

Woman charged with aggravated stalking

A 34-year-old Rome woman is facing a felony aggravated stalking charge following her arrest Friday.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Dawn Elaine Helms violated a conditional bond by going to the Dollar General on Alabama Highway knowing that the victim worked there.

Report: Woman found with marijuana at the jail

A Kingston woman is facing a felony charge after marijuana was located in her undergarments at the Floyd County Jail.

According to jail records:

33-year-old Cecile Jo Ely was initially arrested during a traffic stop on Maple Road and Lombardy Way for DUI, and no seatbelt.

Once at the jail, she was additionally charged with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of drugs by an inmate.

Chatsworth man arrested in Rome during traffic stop

A traffic stop for a tag light violation on Maple Street at East 17th Street over the weekend ended with the arrest of a Chatsworth man on drug charges.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

58-year-old Anthony Leon Higgins admitted to drinking and a probable cause search of the vehicle turned up two glass smoking devices–one with residue, a bag of suspected methamphetamine, and numerous empty or spilled beers and six unopened cold beers.

Higgins is charged with possession of meth, possession of drug-related objects, open container, DUI, and driving with a suspended license.

Bicyclist arrested on drug charges

A Calhoun man stopped by police for riding his bicycle on the wrong side of the road at Carter Avenue and Iron Street in Rome Sunday is also facing charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana.  

According to Floyd County Jail records:

41-year-old Adam Lamar Ely was searched and the drugs were found after it was discovered he had an outstanding warrant in Chattooga County.

Traffic stop leads to drug arrest

A 62-year-old Taylorsville man was arrested Saturday during a traffic stop on Turner McCall Boulevard.

According to Floyd County jail records:

Davis Wayne Thomas was found with suspected methamphetamine in several different bags, a glass pipe, and scales.

He is charged with possession of meth, possession of meth with the intent to distribute, possession of drug-related objects, driving with a suspended license, expired registration, and no insurance.
