WZQZ Radio has reported that one person has been arrested after a fatal shooting occurred North of Trion on Tuesday night.
Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader confirmed that 44-year-old Nathaniel James Pease was fatally shot after an alleged argument with the shooter, who has been identified as 36-year-old Dakota Dodd of Trion.
The shooting occurred at Pease’s address on Old Highway 27 in Trion.
Dodd surrendered to investigators after he left the incident location.
The GBI has launched an investigation into the incident and more information is expected to be released as it becomes available.
