We could see more rain and strong wind across the area on Friday.
According to the latest briefing from the National Weather Service:
Some North Georgia Counties, including Gordon, will be under a High Wind Warning from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Friday.
Sustained winds of 25-35 mph with gusts of 45 to 60 mph can be expected — especially in the higher elevations.
A Wind Advisory will be in effect for the rest of north and central Georgia including Floyd, Bartow, Chattooga, and Polk Counties.
Sustained winds of 15-30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph can be expected.
A slight risk of severe storms covers all of central and north Georgia, but there is low confidence for severe weather north of i-20.
The greatest risk for seeing a tornado will be along and south of LaGrange to Griffin to Jefferson to Washington.
