Storm damage reported in Northwest Georgia

Storm damage was reported in Gordon County Thursday afternoon. 

High winds brought down trees across the county and the Firehouse Gym on Curtis Parkway in Calhoun. 

According to Calhoun Police: 

An exterior wall of the gym was knocked over.

Thankfully, no one was injured.

The damage occurred during a Severe Thunderstorm Warning that was issued at around 5 pm Thursday.

Meanwhile, Summer Street in Adairsville was closed by a large tree that fell across the road, taking power lines down with it.

Wind gusts of around 60 miles per hour were reported across Northwest Georgia.
