A Rome man was killed in a single-vehicle wreck in the Gore area in Chattooga County Saturday.
According to the Georgia State Patrol:
The crash occurred at around 12:30 pm on Highway 27 near Scott Hill Road when a vehicle left the roadway in a curve and struck a culvert.
The impact caused the vehicle to vault over a driveway.
It struck a ditch before overturning onto its left side.
The driver, identified as sixty-four-year-old Richard Bevans, was taken to Atrium Health Floyd where he succumbed to his injuries.
