The following information was provided by the Georgia State Patrol:
On May 26th at 4:13 AM, Georgia State Patrol Officers responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian crash in Chattooga County on GA 1 at Rossville Boulevard.
The preliminary investigation determined that a red 2010 Dodge Charger, driven by Ms. Alexis G. Wilson, age 26, was traveling south in the right lane of GA 1 southbound.
A pedestrian, Ms. Crissy D. Trapp, age 48, was lying in the right lane of GA 1 southbound.
The Dodge Charger ran over the pedestrian while traveling south in the right lane of GA 1 southbound.
The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries.
These are the preliminary investigative results, and this crash is still under investigation.
