Gas prices continue to decline.
Georgia motorists are now paying an average price of $3.70 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline, which is six cents less than a week ago, and 54 cents less than last month.
The price is still a dollar more than this time last year.
According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of gasoline has fallen below $4 for much of the U.S.
These lower prices were a welcome relief for drivers who hit the road to spend time with family and friends during the Easter weekend.
Local averages on Monday were $3.67 in Floyd County, $3.71 in Polk County, and $3.60 in Bartow County.
The average was $3.54 in both Gordon and Chattooga Counties.
