Georgians are getting a little break at the gas pump.
Georgia motorists are now paying an average price of $4.14 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline, which is 15 cents less than a week ago.
According to AAA, the drop in gas demand and the decrease in crude oil prices have contributed to lower pump prices.
More relief for Georgia motorists is expected after the legislature approved a suspension of the state’s gas tax, which was then signed by the governor on Friday.
Local averages Monday morning were $4.03 in Floyd County, $4.09 in Gordon County, $4.10 in Polk County, and $4.12 in Bartow County.
Chattooga County had the lowest average price, according to AAA, at $3.87 a gallon.
