Rome lottery player wins $50K Powerball prize

Two Georgia Lottery players in Rome and Carrollton won $50,000 each in the April 16 Powerball drawing by matching four of the five white-ball numbers and the Powerball number.

The winning tickets were purchased at Rome Food Mart, 618 Calhoun Avenue, Rome, and at J’s Shoppette, 2018 Hays Mill Road, Carrollton. The winning numbers were 20-24-42-43-49 with a Powerball number of 19. The Power Play multiplier was 3X. The next Powerball drawing will be on Saturday, April 19, with an estimated jackpot of $131 million.

Another player hit the jackpot for $37,376 playing Hit $250 Quick Win. This lucky ticket was purchased at Texaco Food Mart, 5631 Covington Highway, Decatur, on April 17. Quick Win games are instant-play, instant-win games that share a rolling progressive jackpot and are available at Georgia Lottery retailers and online.

Winners in Georgia have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes. As with all Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Powerball and Quick Win benefit education in the state of Georgia.
