A resolution to create a joint development authority between Bartow, Polk, and Floyd County is on the agenda for Tuesday’s Floyd County Commission meeting.
The initial focus of the authority would be economic development on U.S. 411 between Rome and Cartersville, Ga. 101 between Rome and Rockmart, and U.S. 27 between Rome and Cedartown.
Floyd County has a similar partnership with Gordon County.
The Gordon-Floyd Joint Development Authority owns the Northwest Georgia Regional Industrial Park off of Highway 53 and Hermitage Road.
Tuesday’s county commission meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the county administration building on East Fourth Avenue.
The caucus starts at 4 p.m.
During the caucus, the commission will hear an update on the airport.
