Man accused of assaulting woman with a knife
A West Rome man has been arrested in connection with a knife attack on Camp Street back on February 8.
According to an arrest warrant:
59-year-old Jimmy Lee Brown Jr. cut a woman causing a severe laceration across her chest.
The victim also sustained three minor lacerations on her chest, left arm, and right hand.
Brown left the scene before police arrived and was arrested Tuesday at his Oakland Avenue home on the felony warrant.
Man charged with criminal attempt to commit a felony
A Kingston man is accused of attempting to steal a Down Dump trailer from a residence on Jim Lee Drive in Rome in March of last year.
According to an arrest warrant:
49-year-old Shannon Dale Wheat assisted two others by guiding a truck up the victim’s driveway to where the trailer was located in the carport in an effort to connect the tow hitch.
Wheat is charged with criminal attempt to commit a felony and criminal trespass.
He is also being held on warrants charging him with three probation violations and a single count of failure to appear in court.
Two accused of assisting in shoplifting incidents
Two Rome women have been arrested on felony warrants charging them with being a party to the crime of shoplifting.
According to the warrants:
34-year-old Precious Karen Echols entered Ulta Beauty on Turner McCall Boulevard with another woman on May 30, 2024.
She then directed the woman to conceal $330 in merchandise and leave the store.
Meanwhile, 56-year-old Pamela Letrica Mostiller entered the same store with the same woman on July 10, 2024 and assisted in the theft of $455 in merchandise.
