Report: Man fled from police

A convicted felon is facing multiple charges after he allegedly fled from police Friday in the East Rome area.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Police attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Judakiss Jailer Waddell for an obscured license plate.

Waddell then ran five stop signs while driving 110 in a 40-mile-per-hour zone, passing other vehicles and driving on the wrong side of the road.

He then fled on foot and was found in possession of a firearm.

Waddell is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, two counts of misdemeanor obstruction, five counts of running a stop sign, and single counts of passing in a no-passing zone, failure to maintain a lane, driving on the wrong side of the road, reckless driving, speeding, driving with a suspended license, and a license plate violation.

Calhoun man charged with aggravated stalking

A Calhoun man was booked into the Floyd County Jail Saturday on a felony warrant charging him with aggravated stalking.

According to the warrant:

On December 26, 48-year-old Terrence McWallace Bishop entered a woman’s room in the ICU of a local hospital in violation of a conditional bond signed in Gordon County Superior Court on November 25.

The bond ordered Bishop to have no contact with the woman.

Woman accused of prowling in the Garden Lakes area

A 39-year-old Rome woman was jailed Sunday on charges of loitering or prowling, theft by taking, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug-related objects.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Chassitty Lean Hight opened an attic and looked inside on Elliott Drive in Garden Lakes.

She also took property from a location on Hunters Glen nearby.

Hight was also found with suspected meth and an object used to ingest the drug.

Summerville man accused of entering a vehicle

A Summerville man is accused of entering an automobile on Haywood Valley Road in Armuchee back on December 7.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

44-year-old Daniel Scott Milstead hid in the car when the victim arrived in the area.

He then failed to comply with orders once police arrived and indicated some of the items at the location were stolen.

Milstead is charged with entering an auto, criminal attempt to commit a misdemeanor, criminal trespass, and obstruction of law enforcement.

Man charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

A Rome man stopped for a tag light violation at Broad Street and East Sixth Avenue over the weekend is additionally charged with open container and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

27-year-old Timothy Brandon Stubbs had an open container of alcohol in the vehicle along with a firearm.
