Man charged with assault, drug possession
A Lindale man is facing charges following an alleged assault at his Lakeview Drive home on Sunday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
37-year-old Jeffrey David Lindsey struck a 36-year-old man in the head with the barrel or butt of a firearm, causing a large, deep gash.
He also attempted to strangle the victim, leaving red marks and bruising on the man’s throat.
Lindsey also prevented the victim from leaving the residence.
He is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, and single counts of aggravated battery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, false imprisonment, reckless conduct, and disorderly conduct.
Lindsey is also facing drug charges after several bags and jars containing well over an ounce of marijuana were found during the execution of a search warrant.
Psilocybin mushrooms, amphetamine pills, digital scales, packaging materials, and glass smoking devices were also recovered.
Man charged with terroristic threats, child cruelty
A 34-year-old Rome man is accused of threatening to kill two people Saturday at his East Drive residence.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Francisco Miguel Pablo also lifted his arm to hit a woman.
Both incidents occurred in the presence of two juveniles.
Pablo is charged with two counts of terroristic threats and acts, and 3rd-degree cruelty to children, along with a single count of simple assault.
Inmate accused of injuring jail officer
An inmate at the Floyd County Jail is facing charges in connection to an incident on Saturday.
According to jail records:
60-year-old Steve Lorenzo Miller fought with a jail officer, causing lacerations to the deputy’s face and ear.
Miller is charged with unlawful acts of violence in a penal institution, felony obstruction, and battery.
Man charged with drug possession
A North Rome man was arrested over the weekend on drug charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
34-year-old Jesse Lamar Itson was found in possession of suspected methamphetamine at a location on Dean Avenue.
Authorities also recovered a bag of suspected marijuana, three clonazepam pills, a grinder, and a meth pipe.
Itson is charged with possession of meth, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of drugs not in the original container, and possession of drug-related objects.
