Floyd County Jail Records –

  • A 39-year-old Floyd County man was arrested on Tuesday after a traffic stop on GA 20 near Horseleg Creek Road escalated into a confrontation with Georgia State Patrol troopers. According to Floyd County Jail Records, Joshua Keith Williams of Rome was initially pulled over for driving with an expired tag decal. When troopers approached his vehicle, Williams allegedly became verbally combative and refused to provide a valid driver’s license. During the interaction, troopers discovered that Williams’ license had expired on August 6th. After being issued a citation, Williams allegedly tore it up in front of the troopers while being verbally abusive. Williams is being charged with driving without a license in possession, driving on an expired license, operating a vehicle unlawfully, and obstruction.
  • A 51-year-old Floyd County man was arrested earlier this week following allegations that he assaulted a 23-year-old man during an altercation on Little Texas Valley Road. According to Floyd County Jail Records, Brian Russell Pangman of Rome allegedly shoved and punched the victim leaving him with visible injuries. Pangman is now being charged faces with battery and simple battery.
