Report: Man tried to stab woman with a knife

A Garden Lakes man is facing multiple charges including aggravated assault, false imprisonment, and felony obstruction of officers following his arrest at his Wentworth Place home.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

29-year-old Adelso Quej-Cho attempted to stab a woman with a knife and hit her multiple times, causing bruising on her arms.

He also hit the victim in the stomach with the knife but did not draw blood, and held her in the bedroom against her will.

He then fought with the police.

A 17-year-old Juvenile was present during the incident and heard everything happening.

Quej-Cho is additionally charged with possession of a knife during the commission of a crime, battery, simple battery, and 3rd-degree cruelty to children.

Inmate accused of threatening jail officer

An inmate at the Floyd County Jail has been charged with a felony count of terroristic threats and acts.

According to jail records:

36-year-old Benjamin Franklin Robinson of Rome threatened to shoot a jail officer once he got released.

Robinson has been in jail since September 19 when he was arrested on charges of public drunk, disorderly conduct, simple assault, obstruction of officers, and failure to appear in court.

Report: Man broke window, punched woman

A West Rome man was arrested Sunday on charges of interference with government property, battery, and criminal trespass.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

28-year-old Quindarius Dresond Marques Tate went onto housing authority property on Brookwood Court after having been previously banned.

He broke a window and punched a woman in the face.

Tate is also charged with two counts of failure to appear in court and is being held on a probation violation.

Woman charged with possession of hydrocodone

A Rome woman was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on Turner McCall Boulevard Sunday.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

34-year-old Lindsey Dezireaye Hayes was found with a baggie of suspected hydrocodone in her pocket.

She is charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, DUI, and possession of drugs not in the original container.

Hayes was also found in possession while at the jail resulting in an additional charge of possession of items prohibited for inmates.
