Man charged with motor vehicle theft

A Rome man has been arrested on a felony warrant charging him with theft by taking a motor vehicle.

According to the warrant:

35-year-old Daramis Deunte Stevenson took a 2010 Ford F-150 valued at over $2,000 from a location on Malone Drive.

The theft occurred on November 3, according to the warrant.

Inmate accused of stalking woman

An inmate at the Floyd County Jail is facing a felony aggravated stalking charge.

According to jail records: 

30-year-old Rojelio Ramos Ramos sent two letters to a woman through the US Postal Service.

The letters violated a temporary protective order.

Ramos Ramos remained jailed and put on hold by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.  

Three arrested on possession of meth charges

Three people were arrested on drug charges during a traffic stop Thursday on Riverside Parkway.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

34-year-old Summer Dae Hamilton of Rome, 33-year-old Amber Dawn Bryant of Summerville, and 68-year-old William Mose Walker Sr. of Lyerly were found with methamphetamine and a small amount of marijuana.

They are charged with possession of meth and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

After transport to the jail, a bag containing meth and marijuana was found tucked in the back seat of the patrol vehicle where Bryant had been sitting.

She was additionally charged with possession of drugs past the guard line at the jail.

Warrant: Man stabbed tires of woman’s vehicle

A Cedartown man was booked into Floyd County on Thursday on a felony charge of second-degree criminal damage to property.

According to an arrest warrant:

19-year-old Matthew Jake Hopkins stabbed holes in the tires of a vehicle belonging to a Cedar Bluff, Alabama woman.

The incident occurred at a location on Prosperity Way in Northeastern Floyd County on November 13.

Two arrested on drug charges

A Cartersville woman and a Rome man were arrested during a traffic stop on Georgia Loop One at Willbanks Road on Thursday.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

35-year-old Rebecca Hope Montoya and 29-year-old Hector Raul Hernandez Guerra were found with approximately 17 grams of methamphetamine and digital scales.

Both are charged with possession of meth, and possession of drug-related objects.

Montoya is also charged with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
