Man charged with multiple counts of financial transaction card fraud

An Armuchee man has been arrested on 16 counts of financial transaction card fraud.

According to the arrest warrant and Floyd County Jail records:

36-year-old Cody Franklin McCollum used a financial transaction card belonging to Knight’s Car Store to obtain money, goods, and services by conducting fifteen transactions between August 7 and September 24.

The transactions totaled $938.50.

He also used the card to make a cash app transaction in the amount of $123.60.

Man accused of making threat

A West Rome man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly threatening a man on Trove Drive.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

61-year-old Wayde Brent Wilkes threatened to kick the victim’s door in and shoot him.

Wilkes did kick the front door, causing around $1,000 in damage.

He is charged with felony counts of terroristic threats and acts, and 2nd-degree criminal damage to property.

Woman charged with simple battery against a pregnant female

A 30-year-old Cave Spring woman has been arrested following an altercation with a pregnant woman.

According to the arrest warrants:

Jelissa Marshae Swain struck the victim three times about the face and head.

She then slapped the victim’s phone out of her hand, causing it to shatter when it hit the floor.

The incident location was listed as 3 Government Plaza which is the Floyd County Judicial building.

Swain is charged with 2nd-degree criminal damage to property, and simple battery against a female who is pregnant.
