Today is Election Day and the polls are open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
According to the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office, 31,113 of 61,132 active voters in Floyd County voted early between October 15 and November 1, which is close to 51 percent.
That is the second-highest percentage in our area, only Polk County had more at 54 percent.
Just over 49 percent have already voted in Bartow County with 47 percent in Chattooga County and 45 percent in Gordon County.
