Flash Flood Warnings in effect

A Flash Flood Warning is still in effect for Floyd County, Bartow County, and Paulding County until 11:30 a.m.

More than six inches of rain was recorded at the Richard B. Russell Regional Airport in Rome since Wednesday. 3.22 inches of that fell in three hours between 5 a.m. and 8 a.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, at the Rome-Floyd County Emergency Operations Center on East 12th Street, more than nine inches were recorded.

A Flash Flood Warning for Northeaster Chattooga County, including Summerville, Trion, and Cloudland Canyon State Park is in effect until 1:30 p.m.

A Flood Warning is also in effect for Northeastern Gordon County is in effect until 2:15 p.m.

Calhoun, Fairmount, Ranger, and Resaca are some of the impacted areas.

Turn around, and don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
