Registration for Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program starts in October

The Salvation Army has announced the registration dates for the 2024 Angel Tree program, which helps provide Christmas for children and seniors.

Registrations will be taken in person at The Salvation Army, 317 E. 1st Avenue in Rome, on Tuesdays and Thursdays in October, beginning October 1 and concluding on October 31.

Registration is open to families with children from birth to 12 years of age and seniors (aged 65 and up) residing in Floyd, Polk, and Chattooga Counties.

Registrants will need a photo ID for the applicant, proof of residence, copies of the children’s birth certificate or Medicaid cards, and income statements for the household, including food stamps, SNAP, TANF, or Medicaid.
