Three Rome teens have been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting in Murray County back on August 25.
The GBI and the Murray County Sheriff’s office have charged 19-year-old TyKel Keshawn Hutchinson and a 16-year-old male with felony murder and aggravated assault in the shooting death of 18-year-old Jeffery Tyler Ray of Rydal.
17-year-old Keano Nestor, also of Rome, has been charged with tampering with evidence.
25-year-old Anthony Wilkinson of Calhoun is also jailed on murder and aggravated assault charges.
According to the Murray County Sheriff’s Office:
The shooting occurred at an outdoor party off Sexton Road in Resaca near the Gordon County line.
Ray was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Another victim was shot in the face and was treated at AdventHealth Gordon.
This investigation is active and ongoing.
