Former Floyd County Prison inmate charged with aggravated assault

A man from Flovilla, Georgia is facing charges in connection with an assault at the Floyd County Prison back in September of last year.

According to an arrest warrant:

23-year-old Jason Dalton Sanders was involved in an altercation with another inmate that turned physical.

Sanders was seen on video securing the inmate’s leg and assisting in dragging the victim into a dorm where he was assaulted.

After the assault was over, Sanders and the others involved robbed the inmate of his store goods.

Sanders is charged with aggravated assault, unlawful acts of violence in a penal institution, and participation in criminal gang activity.

Man accused of operating an ATV in a reckless manner

A Silver Creek man is facing a long list of misdemeanor charges after authorities say he was driving an ATV on a public roadway in a reckless manner.

According to an arrest warrant and Floyd County Jail records:

39-year-old Christopher Dale Hudgins ran several stop signs and drove on the wrong side of the road in the area of Booze Mountain Road and Reeceburg Road back on August 20.

Hudgins is charged with reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane, improper lane change, operating an unsafe vehicle, operation of an unregistered vehicle or a vehicle without license plates, failure to obey traffic control devices, a tail light violation, standards for brake lights and signal devices, driving with a suspended or revoked license, and failure to appear in court.
