Woman accused of setting Lindale residence on fire

An Armuchee woman has been charged in connection with a fire that occurred back on March 31 on East Second Avenue in Lindale.

According to an arrest warrant:

41-year-old Linda Ann Barnes threatened to light the victim’s residence on fire and used kerosene to do so.

She was also cursing in the roadway before fleeing the scene.

The fire caused damage to two vehicles on the property, as well as power lines.

Barnes is charged with 1st-degree arson, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, terroristic threats and acts, disorderly conduct, and 2nd-degree criminal damage to property.
