A pair of former Calhoun school system employees are accused of sexual contact with students, according to authorities.

According to Gordon County Superior Court documents, Railey Greeson and Brooklyn Shuler — both former Calhoun City Schools employees — were indicted Thursday on counts of first-degree “sexual contact by employee or agent” as part of a special presentment before a grand jury.

The indictment alleges that Greeson took part in “sexual intercourse and sexually explicit conduct” with a male school system student between late-October or 2021 and early-January of 2022. Court records indicate that Greeson “reasonably should have known” the male student was enrolled as a student, thus violating Georgia Code 16-6-5.1 (b). She is charged with two counts of sexual contact by employee or agent.

Shuler is charged with one count of sexual contact by employee or agent, also accused of taking part in “sexual intercourse and sexually explicit conduct” with a separate male student enrolled within the CCS system between the same period of time, and also “reasonably should have known” the male student was enrolled as a student, thus violating Georgia Code 16-6-5.1 (b).

The ages of the male students listed as part of the case have not been disclosed.

Both Greeson and Shuler turned themselves in and were booked at the Gordon County Jail, and have since been released.
