After several weeks of increases, Georgia gas prices are on the decline.

Georgia drivers are now paying an average price of $3.25 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline which is 9 cents less than a week ago.

That’s still 28 cents more than a month ago, but 8 cents less than this time last year.

According to Montrae Waiters with AAA, if gas demand and crude oil costs remain low, drivers will likely see pump prices dip for the rest of this week.

Local averages on Monday morning were $3.21 in Floyd County, $3.12 in Bartow County, $3.12 in Gordon County, $3.08 in Chattooga County, and $3.29 in Polk County.
