Georgia gas prices on the rise

Gas prices in Georgia are heading back up.

According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded was at $2.78 on Tuesday. That is up by eight cents from a week ago but still lower than last month’s average of $2.98.

The national average was $3.22 on Tuesday.

Floyd County motorists are paying an average of $2.72 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price in Bartow County is $2.76. Gordon County is at $2.79, Chattooga County is at $2.75, and the average is $2.74 in Polk County.
