Georgia gas prices experienced a slight increase compared to a week ago.

Georgia motorists are now paying an average price of $3.71 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline.

Monday’s state average is 1 cent more than a week ago, 28 cents less than last month but $1.01 more than this time last year.

According to AAA, concerns regarding increased global oil prices and the uptick in demand have caused a slight rise in pump prices.

Local averages on Monday were $3.65 in Floyd County, $3.64 in Bartow County, $3.66 in Gordon County, $3.61 in Chattooga County, and $3.71 in Polk County.
