One person was airlifted for treatment after being injured in a single-vehicle accident occurring on Highway 278 near County Road 643 on Monday.
The Spring Garden Fire Department, Piedmont Rescue, and Alabama State Troopers were called to the scene.
According to the fire department, the victim had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken by helicopter to a nearby trauma center.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation by state troopers.
