Light, wintry mix falling, no major issues with roads

January 3, 2021–4:38 a.m.

STAFF REPORTS

We have a light wintry mix of precipitation falling, but so far, no major issues regarding the roads this morning.

The temperature remains above freezing, registering at 37-degrees at the Richard B Russell Regional Airport.

Keep in mind, students in the Rome City and Floyd County School Systems already have the day off as today is a teacher planning day.

That’s also the case for Bartow, Cartersville, Calhoun, Gordon County, and Polk County.

In Chattooga County, students are off today but staff needs to report at 9 a.m.

Again, no major problems on the roadways but that could change.  We will be here all morning with updates as they are needed.
