Floyd County reports 114 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday

114 more Floyd County residents have tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Tuesday report from the Georgia Department of Public Health.

The new cases bring the total to 16,397 since the start of the pandemic.

502 cases have been reported in the last two weeks alone.

Bartow County reported 84 new cases from Monday to Tuesday.

Gordon County had 28 while Chattooga County had 13 and Polk County had 55.

Statewide, there were 8,315 new positives reported on Tuesday with 37 confirmed deaths.

The Georgia Department of Public Health continues to offer free, drive-up Covid-19 testing in Bartow and Floyd Counties.

The Bartow site at the LakePointe Sports Complex is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Floyd County site at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds is open Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The testing sites will be closed this Friday and Saturday for the New Year’s Holiday.
