FDA grants Pfizer vaccine full approval

The US Food and Drug Administration has now granted full approval to the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines for those 16 years of age and older.

The vaccine has been available since earlier this year after it was granted emergency use authorization.

It is believed that many who were hesitant about getting vaccinated were waiting on full approval.

As of Monday, 42% of Georgia’s population has been fully vaccinated.

In Floyd County, 35% are fully vaccinated.

It’s 31% in Gordon County.

In Bartow, Polk, and Chattooga Counties, the vaccination rate is 30%.
