AAA SOUTH
A slight increase in Georgia gas prices this week.
Monday’s average was $2.91, unchanged from last week.
However, the average had jumped to $2.93 on Wednesday.
According to Garrett Townsend with AAA, while Georgians have not seen significant fluctuations at the pump over the last month, crude oil prices have steadily increased this year.
This could lead to fluctuations in prices in the month ahead during peak driving season.
Local averages on Wednesday were $2.91 in Floyd County, $2.89 in Bartow County, $2.92 in Gordon County, $2.88 in Chattooga County, and $2.86 in Polk County.
