STAFF REPORTS
Governor Brian Kemp has signed an executive order declaring a state of emergency due to the petroleum shortage caused by the cyber-attack on the Colonial Pipeline Company.
The order suspends the state’s gas tax through Saturday and lifts weight restrictions for fuel tankers.
Statewide, gas prices jumped by 11-cents from Monday to Tuesday, according to AAA.
If anyone has any concerns or complaints regarding price gouging they can call 404-651-8600 or 1-800-869-1123.
News of the cyber-attack and the disruption of the pipeline have caused a rush on gas stations with people filling up.
